Itinerary
Drive Rishikesh – Gobindghat
Altitude: 2,050m/6,750ft
256 km drive, approx 10 hours
Trekkers will be picked from Rishikesh in a Tata Sumo or a similar vehicle (cost is included) • Arrive at Gobindghat approx by 5 pm – (tea, briefing of the trek & dinner)

Rishikesh to Devprayag (confluence of Bhagirathi river and Alaknanda river)

Rudraprayag to Karnprayag (confluence of Pindar river and Alaknanda river)
Gobindghat – Ghangria
Distance: 14 km
Time to reach: 7 -8 Hrs
Altitude : 9850 ft
After taking respite time to refresh our body we start our trip around 6 am to 7 am in the early morning.The first 4 Km we will travel by local jeep . The remaining 10 km will be trekking towards the Ghangria. Now, before starting the trek, pack your bags with all the necessary things such as water and rain gear. Walk slowly at your own pace and take rest at regular intervals. The first 6 km of trekking will be easy, because the surface is more or less flat. Mostly you are going to trek besides the bank of the river. The trekking path contains deep and thick forest with alpine trees, oak trees, rhododendron trees and Cedar trees. There are many shops in between, where you can find fresh water to drink so no need to carry water in advance. You can also have chai and parathas there and enjoy the beauty of nature.
Remaining 4 km will be somewhat steep but the scenic beauty is breathtaking, you will then reach Ghangria a base camp in the valley of flowers.Our todays trek will get over and you can give rest to your body, enjoy your dinner and we will meet fresh in the morning.
Ghangria – Valley of flowers – Ghangria
Altitude – 12,800 ft The planned journey would start at early morning to explore the entire valley. Breakfast would be provided at Ghangria. After finishing breakfast we would pack lunches and move towards the valley of flowers. The first 2 km is a steep walk, advice to the trekkers is walk slowly at your own pace and take necessary rest in between. Sip small gulp of water time to time to keep your body hydrated
On the way, you will see some streams and beautiful falls. You can also fill your water bottles from those streams. The remaining 2 km is flat walk and there you enter The Valley Of Flowers. After you entered the valley it is stretched to 6 km- 8 km. There are some different species and unseen rare, beautiful flowers surrounding you and the view of Valley is just treat to watch. It will be the most beautiful view you have ever seen.Walk as far as you can in the valley and enjoy this rare beauty created by nature. Finish your pack lunch there and walk back to Ghangria base camp.
Places to visit:
1.)Marry Legge Grave – 2 km from entrance to valley of flowers
2.)River belt of Pushpawati river; 4 km from entrance of Valley of flowers
3.)Tipra Kharkh- 8 km from entrance to valley of flower.
4.)Tipra glacier is the point from where Pushpawati river originates.It is difficult trek mostly you will be walking on the stony path.You have to cross one or two streams.But the site of the valley from there is sublime and worth going there.
Ghangria – Shri Hemkund Sahib
Distance: 6 km
Time to reach: 4 – 5 Hrs
The 4 th day of the journey would start early in the morning. Have your breakfast early. The trek will be steep . There are many shops on the way to Hemkund sahib so no need to carry water in advance just one bottle is enough. Trek at your own pace and take rest at regular intervals. After reaching the Hemkund Sahib you can take bath in the sacred lake and visit the Gurudwara. Listen to Ardaas there and take prashad. Then you would be visiting the Laxman temple. After spending an hour trek back to the Ghangria base camp. Places to visit in Hemund sahib: 1.)Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara- highest Gurudwara in the World! 2.)Sacred Lake 3.)Laxman Mandir
Ghangria – Gobindghat
The 5th day of the journey also will be started in the early morning. By trekking 13 km back to Govindghat. After reaching the Govindghat you can travel 24 km to reach the Badrinath Temple. After spending an hour in the temple premise you will explore the Mana village. Mana village is also known as the last village of India and at 3 km distance from Badrinath. After visiting the village return back to the Gobindghat.
Gobindghat – Rishikesh
The end of the journey. We will return back to the Rishikesh from Joshimath. It will take 10 hrs to return back to Rishikesh
